Bone and Rocketmen Game Flipz™ Book Movies

Finally, I got the chance to post some new Dragonfly Game Flipz Book movies, Rocketmen and Bone. Actually, both of the books were done over a year or so ago.

You can check them out at my Gamepad blog at gametrailers.com

Here's the Rocketmen Game Flipz Book:

Minuteman - Capt. America's replacement.

I know that Captain America's flag draped body is not even cold in the ground yet, but in case they need a replacement, here's my Cap clone "Minuteman". He's named for the American Revolutionary War citizen fighters, and the mascot of my high school, Thomas Jefferson HS in Elizabeth, NJ.

I never came up with a origin for Minuteman maybe I'll get around to it one day. He's one of long list of original characters I need to update and get out there, somehow. I'll have to post them here, every now and then.

Enjoy.

Captain America R.I.P.

It seems Marvel Comic killed off Captain America recently. Isn't that a really "un-american" thing to a national hero and WWII vet like Cap? Let's hope this turn of events follows the "Death of Superman" lead and we see a new Captain American rising from the grave.

Until then, here my art tribute to Captain America. These are unpublished pencil page I did ages ago of Cap encountering Electra. (Click on the image for a larger view)

Below are the opening pages of my Dragonfly - Marvel Ultimate Alliance Game Flipz™ Book. It from the game opening featuring the "Ultimate" version of Captain Amercia and other Marvel heroes in action. (Again, click on the image for a larger view)

And, for those who missed it here's full Game Flipz™ movie.

Enjoy.

Kingdom Hearts - Mickey Mouse the Warrior

Heres a cool image from the CGI trailer Of the game Kingdom Hearts II - Final Mix. It features Disney and "Final Fantasy" Characters. Final Fantasy is one of the most popular RPG (Role Playing Game) in the world, created in Japan. Kingdom Heart is a interest cross-culture mix, that seem to be doing very well (I admit I haven't played). With the on-going debate in some animation circles about 2D versus 3D renderings of classic characters, I thought this might be worth a look.

This image of Mickey only appears at the very end of the video, but if your interested here the whole clip from gametrailer.com.

Speaking of Final Fantasy here's a encore viewing of the Dragonfly Game Flipz™ book I did of the Final Fantasy XIII game trailer. The game is planned for release later this year or early next. So far this Game Flipz™ movie has received over 8,881 viewing on gametrailer.com and youtube.com with many positive comments from Final Fantasy players and fans. I'm still attempting to get follow up contact from Square-Enix, the game company behind Final Fantasy, to get permission to produce this book. But, until then, just enjoy the movie.

Meet the Robinson - Dragonfly Cinema Flipz™ Book Movie

As promised a few posts back, here's the "fan movie" of the Meet the Robinson's Dragonfly Cinema Flipz™ book I did as a concept demo. Hopefully, my Flipz book will surface at Disney and I'll get a follow up word on it from them. In the meantime, enjoy.

A Pleasant Surprise

Sometimes the power of the internet truly amazes me. In response to viewing one of my Dragonfly Game Flipz movies on Youtube.com, I recieved this video comment called "A Pleasant Surprise".

The film maker is from the Netherlands and I just get a kick out of connecting with people all over the world. It seems he shares an interest in flip books, also. I really like this short and hope you do, too. Please leave comments on his youtube page and mention I sent you there.

Enjoy.

Dragonfly 300 Cinema Flipz Book

It seems "300", the movie inspired by the Frank Miller's graphic novel had a great box office opening the weekend. I tried to see it last friday, but all the showing were sold out.

I was very impressed with the first trailer when it came out several months back, so I did a Dragonfly Cinema Flipz Book of it. It's been posted on gametrailers.com and youtube.com and so far has recieved over 9,000 plus views.

Just in case you missed it here it is again.
